How to Draw Manga - Drawing Anime Eyes with Layers

Like always we start with sketching initial shapes.

Second step will be making of layer for shapes contour, this one should be always on the top.

Lets fill background with some skin colors.

Now time for bottom layer, its for sciera and should be always on bottom.

In next layer we add color of iris, its our base eye color.

Now lets cover iris color by shadow, use soft brush with black color.

Next one is for iris details, almost alwyas like croissant shape :)

Time for pupuil, but not always used and depends on your style or draft character.

Now eyelash shadow.

And the last one for highlights

How you can see it’s not diffucult, after merging, effect is quite good.
